At the beginning of the new year, the electrical items were sent to a recycler based in Germany. The old devices are professionally processed or recycled there and the valuable resources they contain, such as rare earths, are returned to the raw materials cycle. In addition, the environmental protection organization NABU receives a donation that goes to insect protection projects.
“We would like to thank everyone who donated their old devices and thus made an important contribution to resource conservation,” said Ronny Stieber, Managing Director of EV Greiz. “Energy supply is not just about bringing electricity, gas and heat into households, but also about developing sustainable strategies for dealing with our environment in a resource-saving manner.” (hp)
