The Spanish Playtomic buys GotCourts and reaches a valuation of 200 million euros

MADRID, Feb 1 (Reuters) – Spanish company Playtomic, which rents racket sports courts via a mobile phone app, has acquired competitor GotCourts, which operates in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, the company said on Tuesday. .

With the acquisition and a €56m capital raising round in December, Playtomic reached a valuation of more than €200m ($225.16m), co-CEO Felix Ruiz said.

Playtomic said it is now present in 34 countries and has more than a million registered active players.
