Armed youth: police operation at Jenfelder school

Large-scale operation at the Otto Hahn School in Hamburg-Jenfeld: According to information from NDR 90.3, two young people are said to have entered the school building, one of them with a pistol.

Police have cordoned off the area around the school, police tweeted. However, it is not yet clear whether the gunman observed actually entered the building or just walked past the building. Special units would now search the school.

The police asked parents who are now arriving at the school to go to the parent collection point at Jenfelder Allee 80a (parking lot). They would be cared for there by emergency services as long as the school grounds are sealed off.

The Otto-Hahn-School is located in the district of Wandsbek and is a district school with a high school level. The school is attended by almost 1,500 boys and girls.
