Search of the GN, FGJ and SSC ended in arrests and seizure of marijuana, glass and cocaine in Iztapalapa

This Sunday, January 30, the Attorney General of Mexico City (FGJCDMX) carried out an operation with elements of the National Guard (GN) and of Special Reaction and Intervention Group (BACK) and the Auxiliary Police of Mexico City (PA), attached to the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC), where they arrested four alleged drug dealers.

According to the information provided by the prosecution in charge of Ernestina Godoy, staff of the Territorial Investigation Prosecutor’s Office in Iztapalapa carried out field investigations that were able to find an address in the Colonia Buenavista, of the mayor’s office subscribed to this dependency, in such a way that they could locate this house as a probable point of sale of drugs.

so a capital control judge released the search warrant requested by the prosecution. So the requirement was fulfilled, so the elements of public order, upon arriving at the indicated address and searching the property, found packages of possible synthetic drugs and green grass with characteristics similar to those of marijuana.

In addition to this, they arrested four individuals, presumably the people in charge of generating the sale of what is supposed to be drugs. Clear plastic wrap is presumed to be marijuana, while the blue plastic wrappers are presumed to be cocaine and crystal; however, this will be determined by the FGJCDMX laboratory, which has already opened the corresponding investigation folder.

The arrested persons were identified as Ana “N”, Veronica “N”, Diana “N” and Aldo “N”. Likewise, the entrance to the home already has seals from the prosecution that prohibit entry to the property during the investigation.

The Buenavista neighborhood of Iztapalapa is located a few kilometers east of the Oriente Manly Preventive Prison and it is located on the path of the Cablebús recently inaugurated by the government of Mexico City, which connects the area of ​​Santa Marta with the Constitution of 1917.

“After the property was protected, the evidence and the detained persons were made available to the agent of the Public Ministry of the aforementioned prosecutor’s office, who continues with the integration of the investigation folder, initiated by the crime against health, in the form of drug dealing”, indicated the FGJCDMX in an official statement that it presented for the consideration of public opinion. Finally, the prosecution pointed out that the investigation work to materialize this arrest began thanks to an anonymous complaint.

It should be remembered that the searches continue to be part of the investigation process for judicial proceedings in Mexico City. This same Sunday, a new series of searches was carried out on the properties of Julio César Serna Chávez, former administration director of the Central de Abasto during the mandate of Miguel Ángel Mancera, who is being investigated for his alleged responsibility in the crimes of illicit enrichment, improper use of powers and faculties, and damage to other people’s property.

Mancera’s former collaborator was arrested on November 27, 2021 and placed in informal pretrial detention as a precautionary measure to prevent his escape and, consequently, evade responsibility for the crimes he probably committed.

With these last three searches, there are now nine properties investigated by the Godoy Ramos prosecutor’s office, who has promoted a joint agenda with the administration of Claudia Sheinbaum, head of government of Mexico City, to prosecute crimes of corruption and impunity related to the immediately previous administration.
