Ypiranga won São Luiz at home by 2-1

At Colosso da Lagoa, Ypiranga achieved an important victory on date 1 of Brazil – Gaucho Championship 2022. The goals of the match for the locals were scored by Falcão (36′ 1T) and Luiz Felipe (43′ 1T). While the away goal was made by Jean Dias (13′ 1T).

A great play by Ypiranga, 36 minutes into the first half, was the one that moved the scoreboard thanks to Falcão. The midfielder took a tremendous shot from the semicircle, after receiving an assist from Matheusinho. The ball entered the right post right and down.

11 minutes into the first half, striker Matheusinho had a chance to open the scoring, but his shot bounced off the post.

The best player of the match was Luiz Felipe. The Ypiranga midfielder scored 1 goal and sought the opposite goal 4 times.

Jean Dias was another of the key players. The midfielder from São Luiz scored 1 goal and searched for the opposite goal 5 times.

It was a game with many fouls and numerous interruptions. There were several cautioned: Diego Porfirio, Régis Silva, Bruno Bispo, Cafú and Lucas Carvalho.

Ypiranga coach Luiz Vieira proposed a 4-3-3 formation with Edson in goal; Gedeílson, Carlos Alexandre, Bruno Bispo and Diego Porfirio in the defensive line; Lorran, Falcão and Luiz Felipe in the middle; and Erick, Rodrigo Carioca and Matheusinho in attack.

For its part, Paulo Henrique Marques’s team took the field with a 4-4-2 scheme with Renan Rocha under the three sticks; Lucas Carvalho, Willian Goiano, Rafael Goiano and Márcio Goiano in defense; João Vieira, Paulinho Santos, Régis Silva and Jean Dias in midfield; and Juba and Ariel up front.

Marcus Gonçalves dos Santos was the referee who directed the match at Colosso da Lagoa.

Ypiranga’s next match in the championship will be as a visitor against Novo Hamburgo, while São Luiz will receive Youth.
