Vestas forecasts hardly any growth

The Danish wind power plant manufacturer Vestas expects the strained supply chains and high transport and logistics costs to be a burden in the new year as well. Sales are expected to be between EUR 15 billion and EUR 16.5 billion, as the Nordex competitor announced on Wednesday. The profit margin, based on the operating result adjusted for special effects, should be between 0 and 4 percent. The forecast is subject to greater uncertainty than usual.

With the expected turnover, Vestas would only grow in the best case. In 2021, revenues were 15.6 billion euros. The adjusted operating margin was three percent. Sales are therefore at the lower end of the company’s forecast and the margin is below that.
