SuedOstLink: First underground cables reach the port of Regensburg

The direct current line between the network connection points Klein Rogahn, Wolmirstedt and ISAR near Landshut is one of the most important future power supply lines in Bavaria. The underground cable project is currently in the middle of the approval process. The first strand of the SuedOstLink between Wolmirstedt and ISAR is scheduled to go into operation in 2027 and supply Bavaria with 2 gigawatts of inexpensive electricity from north and east German wind energy.
