In documents from the Central Investigating Court number 6 and the National High Court Prosecutor’s Office, which are under summary secrecy, it is stated that Carvajal described various methods used by Chavismo for parties in other countries. Among them was the possibility of delivering the money in cash at the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in Caracas. “My informant collected the money at the Cuban Embassy in Venezuela and handed it over to Williams Amaro (Maduro’s secretary), who took it to the Hotel Meliá Caracas and handed it over to Juan Carlos Monedero.”, indicated the military, according to Okdiario.

In another passage of the document, Carvajal specifically recounted one of the deliveries: “I remember a report where I was informed of a delivery of 600,000 dollars to William Amaro, coming from the Cuban embassy in Venezuela. I monitored this delivery to locate the destination of the operation. Indeed, Amaro arrived at the Meliá Hotel with a suitcase in hand, entered Juan Carlos Monedero’s room and left 30 minutes later without the suitcase.

Another instance details a delivery to the Venetur Alba Caracas hotel, with a suitcase that carried 200 thousand euros.

The former Chavista has managed to delay his delivery to the US several times. The National Court has decided to wait for the Ministry of the Interior to resolve his second request for asylum, formulated around the political persecution of the United States that the former general alleges, and which is currently in process.

According to legal sources consulted by Efe, the court will not rule until that request is firm, that is, after the appeals that Carvajal will surely file are resolved, who, in addition, can present more requests for international protection as long as the reasons are not the same, indicate sources from the Spanish Ministry of the Interior.
