Heat let lead slip but beat Lakers 113-107

MIAMI (AP) — Jimmy Butler broke LeBron James’ record for most triple-doubles in a Miami uniform, while Duncan Robinson scored 25 points and the Heat held on to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 113-107 on Sunday. .

Butler had 20 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists for Miami. It was his 10th regular-season game with a triple-double for the Heat — one more James had in four seasons in Miami.

Caleb Martin scored 15 points, Bam Adebayo had 14 and Gabe Vincent had 11 for Miami, which blew much of a 26-point lead it had amassed in the first half.

James charged again with the Lakers, finishing with 33 points — he reached 17 straight games with at least 26 — and 11 rebounds. Russell Westbrook had 24 for the Lakers, while former Miami player Avery Bradley added 15 and Carmelo Anthony finished with 11.

The Heat were without Kyle Lowry (due to personal issues) and Tyler Herro (health protocols). It was Lowry’s fourth straight loss and Herro’s third.

Not playing for the Lakers was Anthony Davis, who missed his 17th straight game while recovering from a knee ligament injury. Davis was listed as questionable on the disabled list, suggesting there was a chance he would eventually return to play, but the Lakers decided he needs at least a couple more days.
