The former WBO super flyweight champion recreated what that brief session with his psychologist was like and Jorge Arce’s doubts about attacking his idol and friend.

“I have a psychologist so I made an urgent appointment. I arrived and told the psychologist: ‘Look Chávez and I have a good relationship, a good friendship I love him very much but see what he said about me’, I showed him the video. I told him ‘I want to answer this, I haven’t published it but I intend to answer this’”.

To which his psychologist replied:

“Jorge, you are a person, you are human, you have your right, you have to defend yourself. Nobody likes to be attacked and he is attacking you, he is calling you ‘pend***o’ and publicly, people laugh at you. If you think it’s correct, answer ‘mijo’

In that same podcast, the Naughty Arce offered a public apology to Julio César Chávez and he accepted that he crossed the limits when he reminded the former champion of his problem with drug addiction.

After said discussion in August 2021, both fighters have no longer spoken about it. For his part, the former light flyweight champion endorsed his admiration for the achievements accumulated by Chávez González as a professional boxer.
