Victoria and Pedagogical University win on date 2 of the Honduran Clausura

Tegucigalpa, Jan 22 (EFE).- Victoria remains the momentary leader of the Honduran Clausura tournament by beating Real Sociedad 2-0 this Saturday at the start of the second day, while the visiting Pedagogical University won by 1-2 against Honduras Progress. The locals of Victoria prevailed not only on the scoreboard, but also with better football than Real Sociedad. Cuban Yaudel Lahera, at minute 68, and Wilmer Crisanto, from a penalty, at minute 90, gave victory to Victoria, led by Salomón Nazar. Victoria has added its second win in a row, after defeating Real España 4-1 on the first date of competition. The Pedagogical University, led by Raúl Cáceres, beat Honduras Progreso, led by Colombian John Jairo López, with goals from Jack Jean Baptiste and Juan Ramón Mejía, the latter from a penalty. Honduras Progreso, who had just beaten Motagua 2-1 on the first date, discounted through Geovanny Martínez, in a game in which the visitors did their homework better.
