Who is Veronica Castro?

Veronica Judith Sainz Castro, known as Verónica Castro (Mexico City, October 19, 1952) is a Mexican actress, singer and television presenter. Is known as one of the most popular figures in the telenovela genre internationally.

In the decades of the 1980s and 1990s, Castro also served as the host of a series of popular late night shows on Mexican television and also in the first decade of the year 2000 she was the host of Reality Shows and was recognized with an honorary Emmy for her legacy to Latin American television.

He was born on October 19, 1952 in Colonia San Rafael in Mexico City. His parents are the engineer Fausto Sáinz Aistol and Socorro Castro Alva. She is the eldest of her three siblings: actress Beatriz Castro, soap opera producer José Alberto Castro and television executive Fausto Sáinz.. The separation of his parents changed the life of the family. His mother went to work as secretary to the rector of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). The family lived in the house of their maternal grandmother, on Donato Guerra Street, in the Juárez neighborhood of Mexico City.

Verónica attended primary school at the “Víctor María Flores” school and secondary school at the “Secondary number 23 Juan G. Holguín”. Later earned a scholarship to Coronet Hall High School, where he studied up to the second grade.

From his childhood he expressed his interest in the show. At school I used to participate in various festivals. His inclination for the world of entertainment was not accidental, since his paternal grandmother, Socorro Astol, owned an artistic company and his uncle, Fernando Soto “Mantequilla”, became famous as a comedian in the so-called Golden Age of Mexican cinema.
