The official handed over the rehabilitation of the Santiago Health Center, in Zumpango, where emphasized the issue of the progress that has been made at the federal level thanks to the vaccination campaign against the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The foregoing, after accepting that the number of infections in recent weeks has been a major problem for the entity, so he made a strong call to get the vaccine, complete the scheme or go for a booster.
“To reiterate that we have had a significant increase in the number of infections, but fortunately not in hospitalizations, what should we do? to get vaccinated, who has not been vaccinated, reinforcement to those who have the reinforcement and continue to maintain preventive measures and continue with our activities, “said the president.
And he added that Mexicans They can’t stand another confinement anymore, close all social and economic activities, nor cancel face-to-face classes, affect merchants or entrepreneurs, nor can more jobs be lost.
“We must continue to take great care of ourselves with preventive measures, but continue with our activities, not lower our guard, but continue, give continuity,” the governor insisted.
Therefore, he invited people who have not been vaccinated to come to the Regional Vaccination Centers to be able to do it, there are currently 11 such centers in different parts of Edomex.
In this context, he stated that there were about 250 thousand people who recently decided to go to receive their corresponding vaccine, for which he highlighted the responsibility of families in the face of the pandemic.
In addition, he placed special emphasis on the recognition of workers in the health sector, and thanked the tasks they carry out day by day, almost two years after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In this context, the state president indicated that his administration continues to work on strengthening the Health Sector of the State of Mexico. Among the tasks that he has intensified, he highlighted the rehabilitation of the entity’s Health Centers.
This January 19, 2022, the local Ministry of Health reported that 235 thousand 007 people have tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while it registers 180 thousand 543 confirmed cases, 33 thousand 408 are classified as suspects and 31 thousand 660 have died as a result of this condition.
