Regular energy market: Extreme prices are back

The upper price limit on the regular energy market has fallen and immediately marginal prices of almost 100,000 euros per MWh are back.

In the very first time slice (midnight to 4 a.m.), the awarded limit price for negative secondary control power climbed to EUR 35,000 per MWh. For positive secondary control power it was 32,000 euros. In the fourth time slice (12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.), 99,999.99 euros per MWh flashed again in the negative secondary control reserve – the technically possible upper limit.
