DeRozan and Vucevic lead Bulls to win over Cavs

CHICAGO (AP) — DeMar DeRozan scored 30 points and the Chicago Bulls finished Wednesday’s game on a 14-2 run before turning things around with a 117-104 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Nikola Vucevic had 24 points and 12 rebounds for the Bulls, who had lost four straight, their worst losing streak of the season, and allowed Miami to overtake them atop the Eastern Conference.

They responded wonderfully after Cleveland pulled within 103-102 on a 3-pointer by former Chicago player Lauri Markkanen and a free throw by Isaac Okoro.

Ayo Dosunmu hit a 3-point shot for the Bulls with just four minutes remaining. Chicago thus ended the Cavs’ five-game winning streak — their best streak of the season.

Dosunmu scored 18 points, contributing three of Chicago’s 10 3-pointers. Coby White added 16 points and four steals.

The Bulls also scored 24 points on turnovers by their opponents, to get a victory that they urgently needed.
