By decision of the Constitutional Court, Alejandro Linares will no longer be part of the discussion to decriminalize abortion

With a vote of 5-4, The Constitutional Court accepted the impediment of Judge Alejandro Linares to be part of the debate to decriminalize or not abortion in Colombia. Thus, as Blu Radio learned, they would not reach the votes to declare the criminal type of abortion unconstitutional. The case would go on to be judged by an associate judge who would rule on Linares’ vote.
