Medvedev: “I think I can beat anyone”

Melbourne (Australia), Jan 15 (EFE).- The Russian Daniil Medvedev (2) assured in the press conference prior to the start of the Australian Open that he feels prepared to be able to overcome any player. “I am ready both physically and mentally, so I can beat anyone. Last year’s Grand Slam title gave me confidence for all tournaments but above all it gave me confidence to face life in general”, added the Russian who will open the competition against the Swiss Henri Laaksonen. The Muscovite admitted that he is interested in knowing all the information for which the Serbian Novak Djokovic’s visa has been canceled again (1). “I think if I had a valid exemption I could play the tournament. I am curious to know the details necessary to understand the matter. For me it doesn’t change anything because in the event that he ends up in the draw, I would face him in the final. Before there is a long way”, said the current finalist of the ‘major aussie’. Daniil Medvedev also commented that he could not comment on the deportation of the Czech Renata Voracova after the Australian government canceled her visa, in the same way as Djokovic, after the Serb was sent to the detention center. “I hope you are well but I can’t say anything about it because I don’t handle the right information,” he concluded.
