The National Electoral Institute (INE) clarified some points addressed by the austerity plan presented by the Federal Government, through the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) and the Ministry of Public Administration, so that the body has the resources to carry out the Revocation of the Mandate.

Through a statement, the electoral body reported that on January 13 it received, from the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), the Treasury’s proposal to have savings in the budget and carry out the consultation, “supposedly, without the need for a budget increase”.

The Institute indicated that, in exercise of its autonomy, will assess in its terms the proposals contained in the document of the Government, however, made some clarifications on the points of the austerity plan, among which the budget granted by the Federation Expenditure Budget Project (PEF) stands out. 2022.

According to the statement, the body does not have a budget of 19 million 736 thousand pesos, since 5 million 821 thousand pesos are allocated, as stated in the Constitution, to the prerogatives of political parties.
