Coronavirus in Mexico as of January 15: new record of infections in one day with 47 thousand 113 cases

the afternoon of this Saturday January 15, 2022, the health authorities shared the daily technical report on the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the country. In this sense, they confirmed the existence of 4,349,182 accumulated confirmed cases, as well as 301,334 unfortunate deaths since the beginning of the pandemic in the country.

According to the figures, in the last 24 hours, 47 thousand 113 new people reported the symptom picture related to the COVID-19 disease, for which a new record in the number of infections in one day. Similarly, there were 227 new deaths in the last 24 hours.

Regarding confirmed deaths, the authorities reported that in the distribution by sex, deaths in men predominate with 62%. The median age is 64 years. In addition, during the transit through the fourth wave of infections and with the increase in estimated active cases, the item presented an increase of 32 deaths with respect to the figure reported on Friday, January 14.
