The working group is supported by the Brandenburg and Saxon structural development companies, the Lausitz economic region and the Saxon structural development agency. They coordinate the financing of the infrastructural changes associated with the phase-out of coal with the state and federal ministries.

The members of the “Lausitzer Revier Drinking Water Network” working group supply around 250,000 residents and industrial sites such as Schwarzheide, the Schwarze Pumpe industrial park, the Boxberg industrial park, Sachsenmilch Leppersdorf, TD Deutsche Klimakompressor and ACCUmotive via a 240-kilometer long pipeline network in south-eastern Brandenburg and north-eastern Saxony .(hp)
