The former head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS), Javier Lozano Alarcón, attacked the constitutional governor of Nuevo León, Samuel Garcia Sepúlveda, after he asked parents and teachers analyze with “acupuncture” to students who can attend face-to-face classes due to the increase in COVID-19 infections in the entity.

Through a short reply on his Twitter account, the former official complained about “pinch*nivel“Of the rulers of Mexico and recommended them to stop with such statements, since he assured that” the poor country “is the one that is harmed.

For the love of God, stop him. Pinche level ”, he wrote this Sunday, January 9, in response to a video shared by the user @avieu on her social networks, which is a fragment of the press conference offered this morning by the local president.

In his talk with the media, García Sepúlveda announced that due to the rebound in infections caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, a decision was made since his administration to establish a back to classes with a “mixed, hybrid and voluntary” model in the schools of the entity.

However, the controversial statement was made seconds later, when he asked that the situation of each infant is decided with “acupuncture” before making the decision to send them to educational centers. Out of context it would be believed that he was referring to the Asian alternative medicine technique and possibly thus treating the pandemic; when, rather, it refers to observing each situation in detail.

“We put aside, we postpone capacity in education and we will allow all schools to be open and ready so that in this new hybrid, mixed and voluntary model it is parents and principals who decide with acupuncture where we are going to have children studying”

Meanwhile, he explained that said determination was made because a part of the student body prefers to continue attending the classrooms, since these are their safe spaces in the face of other peculiarities of their immediate environment.

Despite the fact that Nuevo León is the third state with the most accumulated infections since the pandemic began in the country, when registering 217,873 cases, the militant of Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) highlighted that in the state around 50 thousand infants have already been immunized with the cross-border vaccination program.

He assured that said agreement with the government of the United States (USA) is a great opportunity and presumed that no other entity has an initiative of “such caliber”Therefore, the hybrid model of education is a great alternative to difficult times.

“It could be 150 or 200 thousand children from Nuevo León who already have the vaccine and we cannot deprive them of studying after two years of delay, there are two irrecoverable years that we have lost and we cannot lose another week”

Finally, he launched a call to the citizens of Nuevo León so that, as far as possible, if it is not necessary to leave do not do it, this in order that families privilege the study from home; privilege the home office the workers who have the possibility; favor online shopping instead of going to shopping malls.

“Try not to go out and if you always do, a clinical mask, hand washing, healthy distance, always taking care of yourself”, concluded Samuel García.
