Lyon were held to 1-1 draw by PSG down on Sunday at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Lyon wanted to improve their league standing following a disappointing 1-1 draw with FC Metz in their previous game whilst PSG were unable to beat FC Lorient in a 1-1 draw. As it stands, Lyon are in 11th place on the table and has 25 points while PSG sit in 1st with 47 points after 20 matches.
It was an impressive opening from Lyon, with a goal from Lucas Paqueta in the 8th minute and the first half ended 1-0.
PSG took the lead in the second half, thanks to Thilo Kehrer finding the net, at 76 minutes, leaving the final score at 1-1.
Both managers used allfull available substitutions. For Lyon, Ryan Cherki and Bad taste, came on for Lucas Paqueta and Bruno Guimaraes, PSG brought on Thilo Kehrer, Xavi Simons, Edouard Michut and Eric Ebimbe, to replace Colin Dagba, Leandro Paredes, Ander Herrera and Georginio Wijnaldum.
There were bookings for Emerson and Jerome Boateng from Lyon, and Marco Verratti and Colin Dagba, for PSG.
Lyon will play away against Troyes, while PSG will face Brest at home.
