The General Council of Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM) unanimously approved the loss of the registry of Progressive Social Networks (RSP), Solidarity Encounter Party (PES) and Force for Mexico because they did not manage to obtain the 3% minimum vote required in the 2021 Electoral Day of the entity.

During the 25th Special Session, the counselor provisional president of IEEM, Laura Daniella Durán Ceja, thanked the work and disposition of each of the representatives of the parties, the male and female candidates, as well as their leaders for adhering to the provisions of the electoral law.

In her participation, the official considered that the three parties showed a high example by strengthening democracy in the country and the entity during the last elections.

We always had attention, coordination, collaboration, unfortunately the law established a threshold and the jurisdictional interpretation is not in charge of us, but of the electoral courts, which are the ones who determined what the consequence was. The doors of IEEM and of all of us will always be open, ”he said.

For their part, the representatives of the three parties in the State of Mexico assured that will continue in the politics and they will fight for get the registration back in order to have a presence again in the Mexican territory, where they consider that they have “real possibilities to grow.”

When taking the floor, the representative of the PES Before the IEEM, Adrián Saúl Martínez Santillán, denounced that there was a lack of equity in the electoral contest, for which he stated that will return to social leadership in upcoming elections.

It should be remembered that after the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Power (TEPJF) definitively resolved the loss of its registration at the national level, the leaders of Force for Mexico, Progressive Social Networks and the Encuentro Solidario advanced their intention to form a third political bloc.

On December 9, in a joint press conference, the leaders explained that the bloc will be named “Progressive Solidarity Force”, With which they will participate in the next elections in 2022 in which the states of Aguascalientes, Durango, Tamaulipas, Quintana Roo, Hidalgo Y Oaxaca, since political parties have local registries.

“We have established Progressive Solidarity Force as a method to build an agenda for the benefit of democracy, its institutions, but above all, in favor of the citizenry,” they said.

At the press conference, they detailed that the block will be used to promote electoral reform, push matching themes and prepare possible candidacies for the federal elections of 2024, that could be promoted under the figure of independent candidacies.
