With the end of the year, political actors, journalists and academics have expressed their diverse opinions on the way the country’s administration has been run. With half of the six-year term Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), the opposition has criticized the decisions that the president has taken in his three years of administration.
In this sense, the former presidential candidate, Ricardo Anaya Cortes, published through his social networks a video in which he addressed his point of view of this end of the year.
“Like you, I want a united Mexico. A Mexico in which we spend more time working to achieve common purposes, instead of focusing on what divides us. I dream, like you, of a prosperous, safe and peaceful Mexico. Happy New Year!”
The former candidate highlighted that the work of expressing his criticisms and points of view on the country’s main problems through weekly videos has been done with the main reason to contribute to the search for solutions: “I maintain that criticism is necessary and very valuable when it serves to find solutions ”.
“We build the country between all of us”, He mentioned after thanking the exchange of ideas that has occurred within his platform in Twitter, which is promoted after the publication of their weekly videos.
In addition to this, the former leader for the National Action Party (PAN), He sent his best wishes to his followers, expressing his hope that this next 2022, they could find a decent job, health and a better life.
Among the wishes that the candidate expressed was the eradication of inequality in the country and the end of the “persecution” against the counselor of the National Electoral Institute (INE), Lorenzo Córdova.
“I want a Mexico where access to health is guaranteed for everyone. I dream of a Mexico where the law is enforced and the organs of justice are not used to persecute opponents, much less the electoral referee ”.
These statements arise after the constant problems with the Revocation of Mandate, democratic exercise that Andrés Manuel has promoted during his current administration. After Córdova postponed the exercise due to lack of budget, the sympathizers and the bench for Morena, demonstrated against the decision of the official.
The officials for Morena stressed that the budget that would be granted next year to the Revocation exercise should be sufficient as it is the only electoral exercise that will take place next year. The decrease in the budget to the INE was also justified by the number of elections for mayors and governorships that existed in 2021, which will not be repeated in 2022.
For its part, the attempt to retain the Revocation of Mandate by the official, did not fulfill its mission. On December 29, the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Branch (TEPJF) it annulled the agreement that the INE had issued to postpone the exercise due to an alleged lack of budget.
Regarding what happened, Anaya Cortés pointed out that he “dreamed” of a united Mexico, in which “we spend more time working to achieve common purposes, instead of focusing on what divides us.”
