Coronavirus.- Russia exceeds 295,000 deaths from coronavirus after adding more than a thousand in the last day


Russia this Friday surpassed the barrier of 295,000 deaths from coronavirus after adding more than a thousand during the last day, amid a decrease in the number of cases and deaths in recent weeks after a rebound between October and November.

The national operational center for the fight against coronavirus has detailed that during the last 24 hours, 27,743 infections and 1,080 deaths have been confirmed, which brings the total figures to 10,159,389 and 295,104, respectively.

The capital, Moscow, appears one more day as the city with the most cases and deaths, with 2,755 and 83, respectively. For its part, Saint Petersburg has reported 1,984 infections and 63 deaths, for 1,452 and 60, respectively, in the province of Moscow.

The agency has highlighted that to date 8,914,225 people have recovered from COVID-19, including 37,437 discharges during the last day, while the National Office for Consumer Protection (Rospotrebnadzor) has said that 1,585,534 are under observation as possible cases of coronavirus.

Finally, the Russian authorities have indicated that 74,189,385 people have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine, of which 67,260,355 already have the complete schedule, according to the Russian news agency Sputnik.
