Coronavirus in Mexico as of November 30: 3,307 infections and 296 deaths in the last day

This Tuesday afternoon the Ministry of Health (SSa) updated the figures on the advance of the coronavirus in Mexico at the information cutoff at 5:00 p.m. Through General Directorate of Epidemiology issued the COVID-19 technical report in the country.

It is followed by the State of Mexico with 379,012; Nuevo León has 206,981; Guanajuato with 196,359; Jalisco accumulates 163,328; Tabasco with 143,652; Puebla has 125,784; Veracruz with 123,911; Sonora with 117,839 and San Luis Potosí with a total of 105,273 which together they make up more than two thirds (66%) of all accumulated cases registered in the country.

On the other hand, the Technical Report also reported the population group that has an incidence in the estimated cases in the last five weeks. Most of the cases were registered in the group of 18 to 29 years old, followed by people between 30 to 39 years old and lastly those between 40 and 49 years old.

For this epidemiological week number 48, the health authorities reported that they have registered 19,684 active confirmed cases to the cutting of information for the Technical Report; an incidence rate of 15.3 per 100 thousand inhabitants (November 17 to 30, 2021) is presented.

Under the rate of active cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the 10 states with the highest number of current infections are: Baja California (2,877), Sonora (1,728), Baja California Sur (392), Coahuila (1,259), Chihuahua ( 1,365), Mexico City (3,147), Aguascalientes (407), Guanajuato (1648), Durango (378) and San Luis Potosí (517).

So far there is an estimate of 4,110,454 for the current epidemiological week.

On COVID-19 hospitalization general occupancy, the Information System of the IRAG Network reported on its platform that for the last update of hospitalized patients, Chihuahua and Baja California are the entities that have a percentage between 50 and 70% Of occupation.

The first entity records a 61.44% saturation, while the second has 51.54 percent. The rest of the country is kept in an occupation between 0 to 50 percent.

Regarding the number of deaths due to the COVID-19 disease, to date there are 13,536 suspicious deaths, which include those pending by laboratory (n = 3,028) and those that are in the process of epidemiological association (n = 10,508 ) by the SISVER.

The Vaccination campaign against COVID-19 continues with the last stages of immunization of the population. Last Monday began the application of the drug at young people between 15 and 17 years old without comorbidities in different states of the Republic.
