Eco-energy will soon be mandatory when changing heating systems in Schleswig-Holstein

With the reform, the state government is setting itself climate targets in its own area of responsibility. The heating and power supply of the state properties is to be made CO2-free by 2040. With a few exceptions, all of the state administration’s vehicles are to be emission-free by 2030.

Heating plans for smaller communities too

In addition, medium-sized places are also required to draw up communal heating plans. Local rail passenger transport is to be completely greenhouse gas-neutral by 2030. In the future, photovoltaic systems will have to be installed on more than ten percent of the area on suitable roofs of non-residential buildings for new buildings and renovations. Newly built, larger parking spaces must have photovoltaic roofs. (dpa / amo)
