London, Nov 22 (EFE) .- Harry Maguire, captain of Manchester United, said that the players have to assume responsibilities and that the coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, paid the price for the bad performances of the team.
Maguire, who will start Tuesday against Villarreal, was sent off in United’s 4-1 loss to Watford this weekend that ended with the firing of Solskjaer.
“We players have to take responsibility. We are in this together. In the end the coach paid the price and we are very disappointed by that. We know that we have not been up to the task, we have said it and now we want to improve,” he said in Maguire press conference.
“It has been a very hard time for the players because we have a lot for him with respect to Solskjaer. When he came yesterday and told us it was very difficult. The results of the last few days have not been up to the task. Ole has paid the duck, but we we have had a great fault too, “added the English player.
