Ionity opens test site

The fast charging network operator Ionity has opened a technology test center in the Bavarian town of Unterschleißheim. Ionity tests the interaction between electric vehicles and charging stations as well as the software on the 5000 square meter area outside Munich. This makes it possible to carry out tests on almost all HPC charging stations available on the European market in one place.

According to Ionity, every company interprets interface standards in the process a little differently. In the test center there is the possibility of carefully checking all steps in the charging process – from authentication and power transfer to the end of charging. This also includes possible incompatibilities or problems.
