Havana, Nov 22 (EFE) .- No person died in Cuba from complications associated with covid-19 in the last 24 hours and for the second time in eight days, the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) reported on Monday.
The total number of deaths remains at 8,295 since the beginning of the pandemic in March of last year, according to the daily part of the Minsap.
As for infections, there are 961,042 so far, 240 of them confirmed in the last day by the health authorities.
In hospitals, isolation centers and private homes, 4,657 people are admitted: 1,366 confirmed with the virus -16 in critical condition and 23 serious-, 3,073 with suspicions of having the disease and the rest in epidemiological surveillance.
The central province of Camagüey (54), the eastern Holguín (48) and Villa Clara with 26 (center) reported the highest number of SARS-Cov-2 positives today.
To date, 80% of the population of 11.2 million people -9 million- has completed the three necessary doses of the Cuban vaccines against covid-19 Abdala, Soberana 02 and Soberana Plus.
Cuba does not integrate the Covax mechanism created by the World Health Organization for low- and middle-income countries to access vaccines, nor did it buy them on the international market.
