Albrecht expects the strongest expansion of wind power since 2014

Albrecht rejected the SPD’s criticism of the planned climate protection law, which the state parliament is to pass on Wednesday, and of the state’s wind power planning. “With the demand that wind energy and also photovoltaics must continue to expand, the SPD is running open doors for me,” said Albrecht. It must be talked about additional space. “But I am glad that we have so far been the only country in Germany to have managed to identify this two percent land area with the new wind power plans.”

Albrecht was open to a proposal by the designated SPD top candidate Thomas Losse-Müller to found an infrastructure company for the development of district heating networks. “The prerequisites are the municipalities’ heating plans,” said Albrecht. The state government has already made several million euros available for this.

Support for municipalities

“With the new Climate Protection Act, the larger municipalities in the state are obliged to draw up appropriate plans. I think it is a fundamentally sensible proposal to provide the municipalities with structural support when building the networks, ”said Albrecht. In this regard, Schleswig-Holstein is a pioneer nationwide. (dpa / lm)
