With great 4th period from Burks, Knicks overtake Rockets

NEW YORK (AP) – Alec Burks scored 17 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter, Evan Fournier added 19 and the New York Knicks delivered their 14th straight loss to the Houston Rockets on Saturday, this time 106-99.

All-star Julius Randle had 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Immanuel Quickley added 13 off the bench for the Knicks.

Christian Woods had 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Rockets (1-15), the worst team in the NBA, who have not won since October 24, when they crushed the Thunder 124-91.

Jae’Sean Tate finished with 11 points and 10 boards for Houston, which fell to 0-10 in road games.

Houston was up 89-84 midway through the fourth period, but Burk hit three 3-pointers late.

Randle assisted on Burks ‘3-pointer to tie it at 89, but Eric Gordon momentarily regained the Rockets’ lead with a layup shot.

New York followed with a 12-2 streak, which ended with another triple by Burks, extending the lead 101-93 to two and a half minutes from time.
