Alianza Lima, Sporting Cristal, Melgar and Cienciano join forces and file a lawsuit with the CAS for the FPF statutes

Four clubs filed a lawsuit against the FPF statutes.

Four Peruvian soccer clubs, Alianza Lima, Sporting Cristal, FBC Melgar and Cienciano, joined this Saturday, November 20, to present a nullity claim before the Sports Arbitration Court (TAS) for the statutes agreed in the Extraordinary Assembly of Bases of the October 22, 2021 at the hands of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), commanded by President Agustín Lozano.

“Considering that it has been carried out in a framework of irregularities and circumstances that do not conform to the law, “says the document shared at night, one day before the final of League 1 2021, on the social networks of the ‘celestial’ team.

“The clubs that sign this document inform the members of the FPF Base Assembly, the international sports authorities and the public opinion that, as announced in the communiqué dated October 22, 2021, dated November 12, the clubs Alianza Lima, Sporting Cristal, FBC Melgar and Cienciano have presented before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) of Switzerland a claim for annulment against the agreements made in the Extraordinary General Assembly of October 22, 2021 ″ , you can read in the statement.

On the other hand, the lawyers who will be in charge of the case are also mentioned: the Spanish Gorka Villar, Juan de Dios Crespo and Agustín Amorós, in addition to the Peruvian lawyer Julio García and the other lawyers of the clubs present in the lawsuit. It was thought that the University of Sports would also be present, but the reasons why they did not join this cause are not yet known.
