CDMX will remain on a green traffic light: hospitalizations and COVID-19 cases at historic lows

Thanks to the indicators and level of hospitalizations for COVID-19 in Mexico City, the epidemiological traffic light will remain unchanged for at least two more weeks, which would represent six consecutive weeks in green, as announced by the general director of Digital Government of the Digital Agency for Public Innovation (ADIP), Eduardo Clark Garcia.

During the traditional press conference headed by the Head of Government, Claudia Sheinbaum, the director general of ADIP expressed that staying in that stoplight position is again good news.

“We continue for at least two more weeks at a green light, this would spin for at least six consecutive weeks than the CDMX it is in that traffic light color, ”he said.

According to the indicators, the City is located at 2.5 out of 40, so according to Clark García: “what the lowest point of the traffic light since the pandemic has been measured with this mechanism. We went down from 3.5 to 2.5 in the last week ”.

According to the data he presented, the Valley of Mexico is below the minimum number of hospitalized patients, with a reduction of 100 fewer hospitalized people, since last week there were 788 people admitted and as of today 688 people admitted.

The outlook in Mexico City is also encouraging, as 74 fewer cases were reported, after 588 people were hospitalized a week before and to date they were announced 514.

“We are already at historical lows both in Mexico City and in the Metropolitan Area of ​​the Valley of Mexico COVID-19 hospitalizations″.

Regarding active cases, the director of the ADIP stressed that there are also historical lows, with less than 4,000 and it continues to decline, as it is the lowest record in a seven-day period.

He stated that the reduction in active cases can be clearly seen in all age groups.

Regarding the number of positives identified in the last week, the figures reveal that there are at least 140 on a daily average, which are detected in Health Centers, Kiosks and Shopping Centers.

“In this case we are already at the historical minimum again with 2.9% positivity in the last 7 days in Macro Kiosks, Health Centers and Shopping Centers”, he highlighted.
