London, Nov 11 (EFE) .- London Heathrow Airport reported this Thursday that 3,043,258 passengers passed through its terminals last October, the sixth consecutive month of improvement in traffic due to the lifting of restrictions due to covid-19.
The figure represents a strong rise compared to the same month of 2020, when 1.2 million people passed through the airport, but current traffic levels are 56% below those registered before the pandemic.
The airport asks the Government to re-review the anti-covid measures that apply to travelers with the full vaccination schedule when returning to British territory, since passengers are required to take an antigen test two days after entering, but other countries do not have this measure.
Heathrow has made this request, indicating that other major European airports are recovering faster from the crisis.
