After his absence, the former director of Pemex was considered by a federal judge as “removed from the action of justice”, Therefore, he decided to grant the FGR the arrest warrant.

“Carlos is not hiding, he is waiting for you. In the United States they are aware of all these lies, of the entire Odebrecht case, there they know that those indicated by him are persecuted, He has already notified the US authorities where he is”, He clarified in an interview with Ciro Gómez Leyva, to Formula Radio.
Emilio Lozoya involved Carlos Treviño in the Odebrecht case
The hearing on September 7 was derived from a statement by Emilio Lozoya Austin, former director of Petróleos Mexicanos and who today remains an inmate in the North prison facing his processes for the Odebrecht and Agronitrogenados cases.
On August 11, 2020, Lozoya accused him of having participated in the alleged Odebrecht corruption scheme, for the contract for the Ethylene XXI plant, signed with the Braskem subsidiary.
