During the protest led by more than a hundred residents who gathered in front of the Ramos Mejía Police Station, 300 meters from where they killed this Sunday Roberto Sabo, a 48-year-old kiosk vendor, Pedro, the father of the murdered merchant, said through tears: “I never thought this was going to happen to me. They ruined my family. I can never live in peace again. I want to thank Alberto and Cristina, who go to the jets, to all the murderers, to the thugs, to kill good people on the streets. Thank you Alberto and thank you Cristina. And thank you Guillermo Moreno”.
“I want to tell you the phrase of Susana gimenez: ‘Whoever kills must be killed, the criminals have the death penalty,’ “added the man, visibly disheartened by pain, and continued with his defense. “(The detainees) are kept here in the Ramos police station because they are taking care of them so that people do not do anything to them, manga de …”.
And he continued: “I thank many people who come to greet me, who I’ve been working on the same block for 40 years. I do not know what to say. I never thought this would happen to me. I would like to cut off the hands of those who vote for Alberto and Cristina. Because surely nothing ever happened to them. I didn’t think this was going to happen to me. They ruined my whole family, I will never live in peace again”.
Towards the end of the interview he gave to TNPedro explained that his son inherited the business that used to belong to him and that he attended it together with one of his grandchildren. “I started 40 years ago, I worked across the street. Little by little I helped him with the kiosk, then I retired because I retired and now he is still with my grandson. And now I don’t know what we are going to do because we are full of criminals here. I don’t know if tomorrow I go to work and they kill me too”, He pointed out.
Hours before, on social networks, a video circulated where Pedro Sabo was seen crying uncontrollably at the door of the “Drugstore Pato”, while hugging a boy. “Ay, ay ay, why?“, He said. “Death penalty for the jets,” he screamed without consolation.
After the murder of the kiosk, Sabo’s neighbors, friends and family concentrated first in front of the business where the crime occurred and, later, they moved to the door of section 2, where the perpetrators of the crime are detained: a 29-year-old man and a 15-year-old adolescent. Between applause and honks, they cut the street to demand “Justice” and even lit a bonfire. In addition to repudiating Fernando Espinoza placeholder image, mayor of the La Matanza party since December 12, 2019, also demanded the presence of the Buenos Aires Minister of Security, Sergio Berni. And the official arrived at the scene at 9:30 p.m.
Among the testimonies that circulate on social networks and on some television channels, a tone of satiety and indignation. “Three blocks from the kiosk is the police station, with all mobile phones stopped on Avenida de Mayo. And four (blocks) there is a vehicle control. For the photo they are, but prevention nothing“, he pointed Ulises Ramos, one of the neighbors, in statements to TN.
And followed: “It appears that one of the criminals is a minor and would be released at any moment. People are outraged because tomorrow he can go out to murder someone else”.
The murder of Roberto Sabo happened when the merchant was surprised by a couple of armed criminals who tried to assault him this Sunday after 2. The murderer shot him in the head and fled.
Seconds later and to escape, the criminals (a man and a woman) stole a black Ford Focus from a taxi driver at gunpoint and, later, a motorcycle from a delivery: they did not get very far and arrested them.
The criminals were identified as Leonardo Daniel Suárez (29) and a 15-year-old teenager from Fuerte Apache. In his possession they found five cell phones, cash, a .22 caliber revolver with four intact sheaths and one served.
