Talleres wins over visit and continues to be an escort for River Plate in the Argentine league

BUENOS AIRES, Nov 6 (Reuters) – Talleres de Córdoba defeated Godoy Cruz de Mendoza on Saturday 2-0 as a visitor on the twentieth round of the Argentine Professional Football League and continues as a guard for River Plate.

With the victory five dates from the end of the championship, Talleres reached 39 points in the standings, four less than River, which will face Patronato de Paraná on Sunday.

The goals of the team led by the Uruguayan Alexander Medina were scored by the Colombian Rafael Pérez and Juan Cruz Komar at 60 and 72 minutes.

“At halftime we accommodated several things that we had to correct and the team changed, it was another. Workshops was forceful and went to close the game despite making many mistakes,” Medina said at a press conference.

In another game on Saturday, Racing Club won 2-0 away from Atlético Tucumán and obtained its first win with Gago in the technical direction after two consecutive defeats at the beginning of the cycle.

For its part, the current champion Colón de Santa Fe beat Platense 3-0 at home, the same scoreboard with which Independiente de Avellaneda beat Arsenal de Sarandí at its stadium.

The day began on Friday with the 3-0 win by Defense and Justice against Rosario Central and the 1-1 equality between Lanús and Estudiantes de La Plata.
