Uruguay retail prices rise 1.04% in October: statistics body

MONTEVIDEO, Nov 4 (Reuters) – Uruguay’s retail prices rose 1.04% in October, after rising 0.46% in the previous month, the National Statistics Institute said on Thursday, much higher than expected. between analysts.

In the first ten months of the year, the index increased 7.79% and in the last 12 months the benchmark for consumer prices accumulated a rise of 7.89%.

Market analysts expected inflation of 0.48% for October, according to the median expectations published by the central bank.
