Emilio Lozoya and his defense requested more time to gather evidence of his innocence in the Odebrecht case, for which has been in domiciliary rooting since July 2020.

For its part, the control judge scheduled the next hearing for next November 3, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., where it will be decided definitively if the requested time is granted by its legal representatives, headed by Miguel Ontiveros, or it is rejected, according to information from the newspaper The universal.

In this regard, the journalist Salvador García Soto highlighted in the same portal that said hearing would be in the first instance to decide whether the complementary investigation is declared closed or the judge gives the prosecutor a period of 10 days to determine whether or not to accuse Lozoya Austin for the crimes of Odebrecht and Agronitrogenados.

The columnist assured that this process is independent of the Opportunity Criterion that his defense requested and that turned him into “Collaborating witness” so that even if the judge declares the complementary investigation closed and the Prosecutor’s Office accused Lozoya, could not be stopped or lose the criterion of opportunity that would remain in force.

As precautionary measures, he was ordered to wear an electronic bracelet, sign every two weeks in front of the court, and not leave the country. In addition, the Migration’s national institute (INM), revealed that it maintains checklists migratory, better known as migratory alert.
