Coronavirus in Mexico as of November 1: 994 infections and 99 deaths were registered in the last day

With these data, in the last 24 hours, 99 deaths and 994 new coronavirus infections were added to the statistics. It should be noted that the number of new cases reported by the federal agency is the lowest figure recorded since last June 6, when Health announced that there were only 881 infections in one day.

For its part, Salud pointed out that, To date, 540,372 suspected cases have been reported; 7,006,088 negative cases and 22,725 confirmed active cases, which refer to those positive cases that started symptoms in the last 14 days (October 18 to 31) and that allow the health authorities to identify where there is greater viral activity and, consequently, an increase in the transmission of SARS CoV -2.

In this sense, the states with the highest number of confirmed active cases as of this Monday are: Mexico City (3,915); Baja California (2,849); Guanajuato (2,512); Nuevo Leon (1,247) and Mexico state (1,270). In contrast, the states with the fewest active cases are: Chiapas (65); Tlaxcala (107); Baja California Sur (146); Zacatecas (154) and Campeche, with 160 cases.

According to the demographic data collected since the beginning of the health emergency, confirmed cases show a higher prevalence in women, with 50.1% and the general average age is 39 years. Additionally, the federal agency stressed that in the last five weeks, most of the cases are present in the groups of 18 to 29 years, followed by the age groups of 30 to 39 years and 40 to 49 years.

Likewise, the Government of Mexico has registered, by place of residence, the total accumulated infections. In this sense, the states that have collected the highest number of cases are: Mexico City (971,599); Mexico state (374,157); New Lion (204,043); Guanajuato (188,900); Jalisco (161,033); Tabasco (142,265); Puebla (123,975); Veracruz (122,339); Sonora (112,091) and San Luis Potosi (103,155). These entities represent 66% of the total accumulated cases in the Mexican Republic.

For its part, in the area of ​​deaths, the Daily Technical Report detailed that the states with the highest number of deaths are: Mexico City (52,173); Mexico state (32,318); Jalisco (16,943); Puebla (15,350); Veracruz (14,229) and New Lion (13,097).

Regarding the latest update of the Epidemiological Risk Traffic Light, which will be in force from November 1 to 14, the SSa pointed out that there will be no status in red for the fifth consecutive time since the “third wave” of infections began. And the only entity with an orange traffic light, which indicates a high risk of contagion, will be Baja California.

The SSa reported that Mexico received 16,872,200 new packaged vaccines against COVID-19 from the laboratories: Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Cansino Biologics and the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, developer of the biological Sputnik V; for a cumulative 153,280,045 biologicals from December 23 until its last update, carried out on October 31.
